About the Position:

We have an excellent opportunity for a motivated Project Manager to join our team in Omaha, Nebraska. Primarily responsible for managing one or more large projects, job estimating, job scheduling, job completion, quality control, problem resolution, coordination, job communication, job invoicing, job payments and client satisfaction. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Direct and supervise activities of each project to achieve performance for quantity and quality of work. This includes budgeting, monitoring projections, and establishing goals and standards.

Ensure all jobs or contracts are fulfilled to the customer’s satisfaction and the company has earned a fair profit.

Plan all projects to optimize efficiency of labor, material, supplies, equipment and tools.

Manage, plan, coordinate, and control all assigned and obtained project activities within budget guidelines to provide the maximum profit while delivering on promises to customers.

Keep informed of new electrical codes, technology, techniques and practices.

Consults with and coaches managers on employee relations issues. Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.

Promote the company image through exercising sound and ethical business practices as they relate to clients, subcontractors, suppliers and the public.

Provide quality service to all clients.

Complete all bids, documents and reports in an accurate, complete and professional manner.

Ensure all government and company requirements relating to safety, health and the environment are strictly adhered to and enforced.

Secure materials in a planned and coordinated manner.

Secure subcontractors utilizing standard subcontract agreements.

Survey job sites as needed for scope of work and to determine the most cost effective and efficient plan possible.

Hold job start-up meetings with Superintendent, Job Foreman, and others to transfer documentation, schedules and information.

Attend Project Manager Meetings to stay up-to-date on administrative and market conditions.

Provide day-to-day direction to Project Foreman as required to monitor productivity goals and build teamwork while respecting the authority of the General Superintendent’s in providing training, project assignments, and skill requirements.

Prepare project documents, material release schedules, client information, project schedules, monthly invoices, payments, closeout documents, warranties, drawings, maintenance manuals and final billings in a timely and accurate manner to give customers good value and ensure company profitability.

Prepare and monitor change orders to be sure they are accurate and billed in a timely manner.

Must be willing to travel throughout the continental U.S


Education: Two (2) year degree in electrical construction, construction management or similar discipline required with Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of project management experience with electrical construction experience preferred.

Successful candidates will possess:

Good knowledge of electrical construction industry.

Strong organization skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.

Ability to work as a team with a positive attitude and professional customer service skills.

Effective communication, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.

Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Project, and electronic estimating software.

Ability to organize, prioritize and complete numerous tasks under time constraints.

Ability to foresee events and anticipate changes in conditions and operations to the greatest extent possible and react to these appropriately.

Ability and willingness to travel extensively-Road Warrior.

Valid driver’s license required.
